The Milestone House provides a supportive, family-style environment where young men transition from structured care to true independence. This program is designed to bridge the gap between adolescent support and adult responsibility, facilitating personal growth through shared community engagement, academic focus, and professional mentorship
The Program
An individualized program focused on mentorship and tailored scaffolding to meet each young man’s unique talents and abilities.
By providing a structured path forward, they unlock their full potential and gain the clarity they need to face their future with confidence.

The Home
Managed by a dedicated married couple, the home hosts up to six students (ages 18+) in a nurturing, family-like setting.
This safe and supportive environment allows residents to focus on their personal growth while practicing the social skills essential to thrive.
To foster independence, residents enjoy:
- Shared and private bedrooms and bathrooms
- A healthy, family-like environment
- Practice age-appropriate life skills
- Management of individual responsibility
Responsibilities
Residents actively contribute to the home, fostering a sense of ownership and community, while learning skills they need to excel.
These daily routines help young men build the self-reliance and discipline necessary to transition to independent living.
Residents take pride in their home by:
- Participating in weekly deep cleaning
- Learning meal planning and preparation
- Practicing essential daily living skills
- Mentoring newer residents as they join the community

Meet our Life Coach
Koins Hoffman brings a deep personal understanding of resilience and recovery to his role as Life Coach. He spent the past several years working with teens and adults as the program manager at a treatment center outside of Atlanta, Georgia.ย
As a person in long-term recovery, Koins understands the struggle of healing from substance abuse. He specializes in helping young men rediscover their passion for life.ย By blending professional expertise with his love for the outdoorsโfrom snowboarding to mountain bikingโKoins provides residents with the mentorship and active lifestyle needed to build lasting confidence.ย
Koins was born in Greenville, South Carolina. He and his wife, Samantha, run the Milestone House as a dedicated team, ensuring every student has the support they need to succeed.
Typical Schedule:
7:00 am โ Wake up. Breakfast, brief planning of day and goals.
7:45 am โ Physical exercise. Students decide to swim, bike, run, play basketball, or weight lift.
10:00 am โ School begins. Periodic breaks for snacks and mental breaks.
12:30 pm โ Lunch and break.
1:00 pm โ School resumes.
3:00 pm โ School ends.
3:10 pm โ Group session.
4:15 pm โ Recreation activities.
Typical Schedule:
6:00 pm โ Dinner.
7:00 pm โ Personal time and study time. Work on journaling, therapy assignments, and personal reading.
8:00 pm โ Optional recreation. If applicable, students attend AA/NA groups when scheduled.
9:00 pm โ Community group meeting. Review day and goals.
9:30 pm to 10:00 pm โ Wind down and prepare for bed.
10:30 pm โ Lights out.
